Poison Control Center
The Kentucky Regional Poison Control Center is staffed by nurses, pharmacists and physicians specially trained in clinical toxicology. It is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls to the poison control center are free and confidential.
Callers may be asked to provide:
- Phone number
- Age and weight
- Name of the substance involved in the exposure
- Amount of the substance involved or missing

Educational Programs and Health Fairs
Staff from the Kentucky Regional Poison Control Center is available to provide educational programs and participate in health fairs for children and adults in Kentucky. If you would like to schedule a poison prevention educational program for your community organization or school, contact Maria Chapman, poison prevention educator.
