Pharmacy Residency Program
The pharmacy practice residency (PGY-1) is a one-year experience that offers extensive exposure to all aspects of pediatric pharmaceutical care. Kosair Children’s Hospital Pharmacy also offers a specialty residency (PGY-2) in critical care. The one-year experience offers extensive exposure to all aspects of pediatric critical care.
Simulation for Pediatric Assessment, Resuscitation and Communication (SPARC) Program exists to educate multidisciplinary groups of pediatric clinicians in crisis teamwork skills, physiology and the delivery of difficult news to patients and families. Physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists and pharmacists participate in these sessions.
"Just for Kids" Transport team and requests
The team uses specially equipped mobile intensive care units, an airplane and a helicopter to provide transportation for young patients in need of sophisticated, sometimes life-sustaining, emergency care.
